Super Darts is a 3D low poly, first-person colourful and vibrant VR carnival game, where you play 5 rounds of darts, with each level difficulty increasing creating a unique and different way of playing carnival darts. There are 4 types of balloons you will face. Once you have won each level and have become the Super Darts champion you will be given prizes for your victory.

About the Project
Super Darts was a project where I and a few others had four weeks (2 with artists) to make a VR game. We spent the first week discussing the game idea and mechanics before implementing it into the game for the rest of the time.​In Super darts, there are five levels of increasing difficulty where you must try to beat the current high score to beat the level.

Level 3
After helping the other designers work on the core mechanics and gameplay, my role was to create the third level. This level was directly in the middle and the one that introduced fake balloons, meaning it had many more balance changes than the others.
Since mine was the middle level, I decided to take a page out of the previous levels and make the balloons move up and down, with only one or two moving left to right. There were five of each type of balloon(Green, Yellow and Red), but five fake balloons were added (two green, two yellow and one red), which would decrease your score if you hit one. There were also barricades that the balloons would pop out of for you to shoot.

I had to adjust a lot due to the levels before and after having balance changes a few times. My level changed quite a bit from the initial concept.

Barricades were removed as people had a hard time navigating around them.

I moved the fake balloons in the same row as their colours instead of hovering in front of them.

The balloons would no longer move from left to right, up and down.

The last change was having the balloons move at varying speeds, so it was harder to predict them, with green moving the slowest and red moving the fastest.
